Adam restored our tired old wooden floor…and what a difference! It has retained all its originality, but is now smooth and classy. It looks so expensive! (Which cannot be said of the floor beforehand!) We booked Ryans services for a few days after our house move. Booking was easy and courteous and the floor sanders, two brothers from a family business arrived on time and did the most perfect job. We live in South Devon. I did a lot of research before deciding to use Ryans Restoration to restore our large 76 square metre of engineered oak flooring on the lower area of our home. My wife and I decided we wanted the flooring restored using Bona products. initially I obtained a quote from a certified Bona contractor in Devon but frankly their quote was rediculous. I then went on to Bona website itself and looked for certified Bona contractors in Somerset and also Wiltshire. The quotes I received were much more sensible and Ryan's Restoration gave me an additional discount due to the size of the area. And now the mist important points. It is a family business and there are about 12 people in the business, and almost all of whom are family - fathers and sons, uncles and nephews. It is clear they all work wonderfully well as a team. In our case it was a domestic restoration that was needed but they also do sports halls and leisure centres. The quality of their work is truly exceptional and our floor looks brilliant and as if it was new following sanding down, then a coat of a Bona primer plus 2 top coats of another Bona product. We will certainly be having them back to also restore our engineered oak flooring on our too floor but probably in January 2026 just after we have had our home fully redecorated internally.I can highly recommend Ryan's Restoration and if you use them, I am 100% confident you will be recommending them to others too.Derek Langton

James initially came out for a free consultation and then Sam came to restore our floorboards in the bedrooms upstairs. We literally don't know how Sam has done it, it's like some sort of sorcery! The floorboards were uneven, creaky, broken, cracked - you name it. They're now perfectly flat and smooth and have come out in a glorious colour - so much better than we had expected. Having discovered that we had an old parquet flooring beneath a carpet in our hallway we asked James and his team to restore it. The job was not straight forward due to the fact that the floor sloped in places and there was the added problem of heating pipes running beneath it.We are very pleased with the quality and craftmanship of the work and the clean and professional manner in which it was carried out. They were incredibly patient with us in trying to find the right colour for our flooring in the dining room and lounge when we were really struggling and tested numerous different stains for us. Well, what can I say other than use Ryan's because they are amazing! They took on my solid oak floor refurbishment in four ground floor rooms when no-one else would and completely transformed it - it looks like a brand new floor! Very little mess despite the sanding as the machine sucks up 95% of the dust. Always left the site clean and tidy. Very professional, polite and friendly. They also laid a brand new solid oak in my large sitting room to match the existing refurbished floor and did a magnificent job. Cost also very competitive. I am over the moon with my wooden floors now. Great admin support from Bryanna too - always very helpful and polite.
