Floor Sanding in Ivybridge and the South Hams
Ivybridge was a paper mill village that became one of the fastest growing towns in Devon, and the housing tells that story clearly. Old cottages and mill terraces around the bridge and Erme Road, a scattering of Victorian villas, and then a very large modern town built from the nineteen-seventies onwards up the hillsides.
For floors that means two quite different jobs. The older property has solid pine boards over ventilated voids that can be sanded repeatedly. The newer estates have a great deal of chipboard, which cannot be sanded at all, and engineered flooring whose remaining wear layer decides everything.
We cover Ivybridge, Bittaford, Ermington, Ugborough, Modbury, Cornwood, Lee Mill, Wrangaton, South Brent and Sparkwell, plus Plymouth, Totnes and Kingsbridge.
