Lift the carpet in one of the terraces off the High Street and the floor is usually better than the owner expects. Pine boards over a decent ventilated void, well laid, and covered up in the twentieth century rather than worn out.

Because the workshop is fifteen minutes away you are welcome to come and look at the machines before you book. Very few people do, but the offer is real and it is the quickest way to understand the difference between our extraction and a hired drum sander.

We sheet doorways, protect what stays in the room and clean as we go. Nearly all our customers stay in the house while we work.

Hardwax oil is what we fit most in Wiveliscombe houses. It penetrates the timber rather than forming a plastic film, keeps the grain visible, and a scuff can be repaired in place rather than requiring a whole room to be redone.
