Floor Sanding Across Portishead and the Gordano Valley
Portishead is really two towns stitched together. There is the old one, with Victorian and Edwardian villas around the High Street, Woodhill and Nore Road, and there is the new one, twenty-odd years of marina and dockside development that has more than doubled the population.
The floors follow the same split. Original pine and pitch pine boards in the older property, and in the marina apartments and newer estates a great deal of engineered oak, plus some solid oak in the better specified homes.
Those are two completely different jobs. Solid boards can be sanded repeatedly. Engineered flooring has a finite wear layer and how much is left decides whether it can be sanded at all. We measure rather than guess, which is why the survey matters.
We cover Portishead, Pill, Easton-in-Gordano, Portbury, Clapton-in-Gordano, Walton, Tickenham, Failand and Abbots Leigh, plus Clevedon, Nailsea and the west side of Bristol.
