Floor Sanding in Ashburton and Southern Dartmoor
Ashburton is an old stannary town on the southern edge of Dartmoor, and it has one of the most attractive small town centres in Devon. Slate-hung frontages on North Street and East Street, medieval building lines behind Georgian faces, and a good number of genuinely old buildings around the church.
Beyond the town the moor takes over, with granite cottages at Buckland in the Moor, Widecombe and Holne, and the wooded Dart valley running down towards Buckfastleigh.
The floors match the buildings. Wide oak and elm in the oldest properties, Georgian and Victorian pine above and behind, and a good deal of previous repair everywhere.
We cover Ashburton, Buckfastleigh, Buckland in the Moor, Widecombe, Holne, Bickington, Ilsington, Landscove, Staverton and Dean Prior, plus Newton Abbot, Totnes and Bovey Tracey.
