Floor Sanding Across Bridport and West Dorset
Bridport made rope and net for centuries, and the trade shaped the town in a way you can still read in the street plan — the unusually wide streets and long back plots were rope walks, where lines were laid out and twisted.
The result is a town with a great deal of Georgian and earlier property packed into a small centre, most of it listed or in the conservation area.
We cover Bridport, West Bay, Bothenhampton, Allington, Symondsbury, Burton Bradstock, Beaminster, Netherbury and Charmouth, plus Lyme Regis, Dorchester and Axminster.
