Almost always moisture from an unventilated sub-floor. Blocked airbricks or ground raised by a patio are the usual causes. We take readings before quoting and will not sand a wet floor.

We use industrial extraction which captures the great majority of dust at the machine. Not literally zero, but a completely different experience from hired equipment.

A room is about two days and a full downstairs three to four. Lacquer is walkable within hours and oil wants a day before light use.
