Floor Sanding in Brixham and South Torbay
Brixham is still a working fishing port and the town is built accordingly. Cottages packed tight above the harbour on streets too steep and narrow for most vehicles, Victorian terraces spreading back towards Higher Brixham, larger villas at Berry Head and Furzeham, and modern estates inland.
The harbour cottages hold the oldest floors, wide pine and elm laid over sleeper walls with very little void beneath, and often thin from two centuries of use.
The Victorian terraces are more straightforward, with narrower pine boards over proper joists and a ventilated void.
We cover Brixham, Churston Ferrers, Galmpton, Kingswear, Berry Head, Higher Brixham, Hillhead and St Marys Bay, plus Paignton, Torquay and Dartmouth.
