Floor Sanding in Wincanton and East Somerset
Wincanton was a coaching town on the London to Exeter road and the buildings still show it. Georgian frontages along the High Street and Market Place, former inns with wide carriage arches, older buildings behind the facades, and Victorian and modern housing spreading down the hill.
The coaching inns and Georgian houses hold the best floors, wide pine over generous joists, often with a good deal of previous repair from centuries of use as public buildings.
Around the town the Blackmore Vale villages have older cottages of brick, stone and cob with elm and early pine on sleeper walls.
We cover Wincanton, Bruton, Castle Cary, Templecombe, Milborne Port, Charlton Musgrove, Bayford, Holton, North Cadbury and South Cadbury, plus Shaftesbury, Sherborne, Frome and Yeovil.
