Floor Sanding in Crewkerne and South Somerset
Crewkerne is built of Ham stone and it was made prosperous by sailcloth and webbing. That money left the town a fine Georgian centre around Market Square and Church Street, a magnificent perpendicular church, and long terraces put up for the mill workers on Abbey Street and South Street.
The Georgian buildings hold wide pine boards over generous joists. The mill terraces have narrower pine, tightly laid over a ventilated void, generally covered over rather than worn out.
We are about forty minutes from our Wellington workshop and in south Somerset regularly, so surveys here are usually within a few days.
We cover Crewkerne, Merriott, Misterton, Haselbury Plucknett, North Perrott, Hinton St George, West Crewkerne, Chiselborough, Norton sub Hamdon and East Chinnock, plus Chard, Ilminster, Yeovil and Bridport.
