Floor Sanding in Shepton Mallet
Our wood floor sanding service reaches Shepton Mallet and the Mendip villages around it, Croscombe, Pilton, Doulting, Evercreech, Ditcheat, Oakhill and Stoke St Michael among them, from our workshop about forty-five minutes away. The floors split neatly: wide Georgian pine around the Market Place, laid over generous joists and usually preserved under carpet, and narrower boards in the mill terraces at Cowl Street and Board Cross.
Family-run for over 45 years, we sand through the grits, finish to your choice and set the whole job out in a fixed written quotation first.
It helps to know what the noise actually amounts to, because it is the part of the job families plan around. The coarse cuts are the loud stage, comparable to a powerful vacuum cleaner in the next room, and they are also the shortest; fine sanding is quieter, and the coating stages are near silent. We keep the loud work to sociable hours, agree timings around shift workers, home offices and afternoon naps, and can usually say to within the hour when a given room will be noisy. Dogs, in our long experience, object to the edger more than the children do.
