Choose from hardwax oiling for a natural, locally repairable surface, two-pack lacquer sealing for hard-working hallways and rentals, staining for a colour shift, or waxing for period character. Dull-but-sound floors can often take a buff and recoat instead of a sand, and sealed extraction on every machine captures the overwhelming majority of dust at source.

Since we mention two-pack lacquer often, it is worth explaining. A hardener is mixed into the lacquer just before application and the two react as the coating dries, crosslinking it into a far tougher film than a single-component product can form. Once mixed it must be used within its working time, and it wants competent, confident application, which is precisely why it is a professional product rather than a shelf item. For hallways, stairs, rentals and anywhere feet concentrate, it is usually the difference between recoating in a decade and recoating in three years.
