Floor sanding and wood floor restoration across the South West and beyond. Ring us, email us, or send photographs of your floor and we will come back with honest advice.
Ring us on 01823 674562. If nobody picks up we are on a floor somewhere, so leave a message or try the mobile on 07475 670136 and we will call you back the same day. You can also email info@ryansrestoration.co.uk or use the form on this page.
The single most useful thing you can do is send two photographs: a wide shot of the whole room, and a close one of the worst area. From those we can usually tell you whether the floor can be sanded, roughly what it will cost, and whether it is worth us coming out at all. It costs you nothing and it saves a wasted afternoon.
If a visit makes sense we will book one, usually within the week and sooner if you are close to Wellington. It takes about half an hour. We measure the remaining thickness of the timber, take moisture readings, look at the sub-floor ventilation and check for damp, previous repairs and anything hiding under the surface.
You get a written quote afterwards, itemised, so you can see what you are paying for. That figure is what you pay unless you change the scope. If we think the floor does not need doing yet, or cannot safely be sanded, we will tell you that instead of taking the work.
Our workshop is at Unit D, The Old Brickyard, Higher Poole, Wellington, Somerset TA21 9GN. That is Higher Poole near Wellington in Somerset, not Poole in Dorset, which catches people out.
We cover Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, Dorset, Bristol, Bath, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and South Wales as core territory, and travel further for larger and commercial work. The areas we cover page lists every town we have a page for.
Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Saturday by arrangement. We answer emails in the evenings, so a message sent after work will normally have a reply by the morning.
For pubs, restaurants, hotels, shops, village and church halls, schools, colleges, gyms, dance studios and sports halls, ring and ask for a commercial quote. We work overnight, on closed days and in school holidays, and we can hold dates well in advance. Sports hall line marking to governing body specification is done in-house.
Full company details, insurance certificates and references are available on request.
It helps to know roughly what you want done. Most enquiries are floor sanding, full restoration, repairs or gap filling, and for businesses it is usually commercial floor sanding. If you are not sure, the FAQ page covers the usual questions and the guides go into more detail.
We cover the whole south west. There are pages for Taunton, Bridgwater, Yeovil, Exeter, Plymouth and Bristol among many others, all listed on areas we cover.
